What is a Right to Work?
In the context of UK employment law, “right to work” refers to the legal permission for an individual to work in the country. Employers have a legal obligation to verify this right through checks on potential employees. This ensures foreign nationals have the necessary visa or permit, while all workers are legally entitled to be employed.
Traditional payroll services will charge an initial setup fee for every employee added to a company’s payroll, they will then often charge a monthly fee per employee. This doesn’t fit with fluid workforces as, say you are a festival bar supplier needing to hire 100 staff for a one-off job, you would be charged a setup fee for every staff member, plus ongoing fees for each, even if they don’t work again. At Mosaic, we charge per payslip, so that if an employee doesn’t work one week, you aren’t charged for them. (See our illustrations on the Pricing Structure page)
